Foundation Guidelines

 

The Raker Foundation primarily funds organizations who serve residents of Fort Wayne and Allen County, Indiana in the following areas of interest:

  • Education Support Services (grades K-12)
  • Health Support Services
  • Historic Preservation
  • Parks, Conservation and Public Recreation
  • Services for the Disabled
  • Youth Development

Limitations

Applications for grants are considered only from those organizations which have been ruled tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and which also qualify as a 509(a) public charity. 

Loans or cash grants cannot be made to private individuals. The Foundation does not make grants to general fund drives, annual charitable appeals or for the influencing of legislation or elections. The Foundation does not grant funds to an organization for distribution to ultimate beneficiaries of its own choosing.
